Abu Dhabi: Argentine striker Jose Sand of Al Ain remained top of the UFL goal charts despite missing this week's action through a one-match suspension.

His tally of 10 goals was not overhauled despite the efforts of Brazilian Fernando Baiano, of Al Wahda — last season's top scorer — who missed a number of chances against Sharjah on Monday.

Carlos Tenorio was the talk of the town with five goals against Al Dhafrah to increase his tally to nine goals and share second place with Baiano.

"It is not a new feat for me," Tenorio said after the match. "I scored 10 goals in one match while I was playing in Qatar against a lowly team in the Shaikh Jasem Cup."

Saeed Al Kass of Al Wasl scored a hat-trick for his team as they beat Emirates club 5-0.

Meanwhile, Iraqi Mustafa Karim of Sharjah and Brazilian Ricardo Oliveira of Al Jazira both failed to increase their tally of goals and remained on eight each.
