Dubai: UAE leaders issued statements on twitter to congratulate Oman on winning the Gulf Cup final, held at Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai tweeted: “Congratulations to the Sultanate of Oman, its leadership and people for winning the Gulf Cup 23. A wonderful performance by the Omani team"
"We have seen elevated feelings from our brotherly Omani people. Our mutual love will further increase and flourish as time goes by. The Cup is for Oman, while the joy is for both the two brotherly people,” Shaikh Mohammad added.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has also congratulated the winners. “Congratulations to the UAE and Oman for the spirit of fraternity and sport that has prevailed the Gulf Cup finals. We are both winners and together we have earned the affection, love and the pleasure of high competition,” Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed tweeted.
“Congratulations to the Sultanate of Oman, its leadership and people for this achievement, and its team’s unique victory in the Gulf Cup 23. We have been pleased by such a high performance,” he added.
“Thank you, Emir of Kuwait, for embracing the Gulf Cup 23 and the success of its organization. And a tribute to the brotherly people of Kuwait who pleased their brothers in the Gulf countries,” Mohammad Bin Zayed tweeted.
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, has also praised the winning team.
“Congratulations to the Omani team for winning the Gulf Cup 23. All appreciation and thanks to our team for this honorable performance and thank all the fans of our team that stood behind the white,” he tweeted.
“On behalf of every Emirati, we extend our sincere thanks to Kuwait's Emir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah and to the brotherly people of Kuwait for this well-organised tournament and for their hospitality,” Shaikh Hamdan added.
