Abu Dhabi: Football fans in UAE have one last opportunity to ensure tickets for the Fifa Club World Cup UAE 2018, which will take place in the capital and Al Ain from December 12 to 22.
The tickets are now on sale to football fans across the globe and can be purchased from www.FIFA.com/CWC/tickets.
With Uefa Champions League Winners Real Madrid having booked their ticket to defend their title, and joining Concacaf continental club champions C.D. Guadalajara from Mexico, OFC Champions League winners Team Wellington FC of New Zealand, and host team Al Ain FC for the official draw, the tournament is already building up to be one of the most exciting sporting spectacles on this year’s calendar.
Three more teams — the AFC Champions League champions, winners of the CAF Champions League and the Conmebol Copa Libertadores champions — are set to complete the seven-team field later in the year.
Football fans can now officially join the club by purchasing tickets for one of the eight competitive matches that will be played in two world-class stadiums (Zayed Sports City in Abu Dubai and Al Ain’s Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium) to crown the best club side on the planet.
The Club World Cup is also launching The ‘Ultimate Hero’ Challenge, a mega fan engagement campaign to find the country’s top football supporters.
To become an ‘Ultimate Hero,’ fans should visit the Fifa Club World Cup Experience on its mobile tour around the UAE and test their football skills in a series of challenges modelled after the positions on the football pitch.
The tournament is scheduled to kick off on June 18 at Al Ain’s Bawadi Mall. The Fif Club World Cup Experience will provide all fans a unique opportunity to showcase their skills in up to eight challenges across four age groups. An entry fee of Dh25 will give Ultimate Hero challengers a shot at glory and the chance to rub shoulders with some of the world’s best footballers during the tournament in December. Entrants will also be given tickets for any of the Fifa Club World Cup UAE 2018’s first three match days.
