When will Jose Mourinho just learn to be magnanimous and congratulate winning opposition?

It is all well and good defending your players to show you have their backs after a defeat (that’s another issue where Jose can be found wanting at times), but to call Newcastle United “lucky” after his Manchester United charges dropped more points in the Premier League is just plain stubborn and verging on denial.

“Newcastle went over the limits for their effort,” he said after the 1-0 loss at St James’ Park. “Yes, they were lucky, but sometimes you attract luck.”

Just give credit where it is due.

Your boys were beaten fair and square.
