London: Crawley Town are in line for a £1million pay-out after landing an FA Cup fifth-round tie against Manchester United on Sunday.

The Blue Square Bet Premier club have been rewarded for their heroic run to the last 16 with a visit to Old Trafford, while League One side Leyton Orient face Arsenal at home.

Crawley chief executive Alan Williams said: "That one game will bring in more than £1m. The game will bankroll the club for the next couple of years. The noise when we drew United almost blew the roof off the clubhouse."

Crawley, who like United are known as the Red Devils, will land £90,000 for reaching the fifth round thanks to a 1-0 win at Torquay and are entitled to 50 per cent of gate receipts for the game, which will be played on February 19 or 20.Ƞ

Given the potential for the biggest FA Cup giant-killing of all time, the match is also likely to televised, which will add a substantial amount to Crawley's pot.Ƞ

Manager Steve Evans, who has masterminded wins over Swindon, Derby and now Torquay during his side's Cup run, joked that United were only his second choice.

"I'm disappointed as I wanted Leyton Orient at home, we could have got through to the quarter-final with that draw," said Evans.Ƞ

"But seriously, this is the perfect draw and I was like any fan, jumping around the living room with my kids when our ball came out. We are going to the greatest club in the world."
