Dubai: Chelsea are interested in Xavi Simons, but need to sell some players first to make room for the RB Leipzig playmaker in their squad.

Gulf News verdict: 22 year old Xavi Simons is an extremely talented player. He is young but comes with enough Champions League experience. The boy is versatile and can operate on the wings, as a number 10, and as a CM as well. Chelsea have many players to offload and this deal will depend on the outgoings of Nkunku, Félix, Sterling, and Jackson. The reported fee is between €50-70 million and in this market, that's a steal for a player of that calibre. Arsenal are also interested in this player.

Dubai: Bryan Mbeumo signs a five-year deal with Manchester United. The total package of the deal is £71 million including add-ons.

Gulf News verdict: The 25-year-old Cameroon international has completed his dream move to Manchester United. He has the ability to play on the wings, as a centre-forward, and in that right-sided number 10 role behind the striker in Amorim's system.

Amad and Bruno Fernandes were Manchester United's joint top scorers in the Premier League last season, with 8 goals each. Bryan Mbeumo scored 20 goals, more than them both combined, for Brentford. However, playing for Brentford and United are completely different propositions altogether. Many big-money moves have flopped at United because players couldn't handle the pressure. Can he carry the weight of the shirt? We'll wait and see. United need goals no matter what.

Bayern have learned over the weekend that Liverpool are willing to negotiate for Luis Díaz. Both clubs are optimistic that a deal will be struck, with Bayern willing to pay around €75M. Personal terms already agreed on a four-year deal. (Source: Sport Bild)

Gulf News verdict: The player wants to move. Liverpool have signed Eserikite for £79 million in a package including add-ons. If Bayern come closer to Liverpool's valuation, they will sell. There is a high possibility for this deal to happen. Luis Díaz has offers from Saudi as well. One way or the other, he will make a move and Liverpool will enter the market for another winger after his departure.

Granit Xhaka has informed Bayer Leverkusen that he ONLY wants to join Sunderland. Personal terms are already agreed. Club-to-club talks continue over a fee. (Source: David Ornstein)

Gulf News verdict: The newly promoted Premier League side are spending some cash and they want to bring in the former Arsenal man. Most likely this will happen.
