Dubai Club earn away victory to stay on course for promotion

Dubai: Dubai Club showed that they were on their way back to the First Division with a 4-3 away win over Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Club at the latter's ground.

Dubai Club, who were relegated last season, are currently at the top of Group A in the Second Division League with 22 points from eight matches.

The match finished 1-1 at the break. Abdul Rahman Suwaidan scored for Ras Al Khaimah in the 10th minute, while Saeed Taresh levelled for Dubai in the 33rd minute.

In the second half Adil Abdul Karim added two goals (53rd and 78th minutes) while Iraqi striker Razzaq Farhan scored one in the 68th minute.

Ahmad Baron and Suwaidan scored two goals for RAK in the 60th and 75th minutes.

Also in Group A, Al Ittihad defeated Al Jazira Al Hamra 2-0. Ghanaian Felix scored both the goals. Al Ittihad have 11 points and Al Hamra 13.

In other Group A matches, Al Arabi beat Al Rams 3-2 while Masafi defeated Al Orouba 3-2. In Group B, Ajman stayed on top after defeating Al Hamriya 4-1.

Ricardo scored for Al Hamriya in the first session and Ajman recovered in the second when they scored four goals through Saeed Kharazy, Brazilian Roger, Tariq Mohammad and Mohammad Zahrana.

Ajman have 18 points.

In other Group B matches, Dibba Fujairah caused the biggest upset when they defeated second-place Hatta 3-1.

Al Khaleej defeated Al Dhafra 3-1 while Ahli Fujairah also beat Al Zaid 3-1 at Fujairah Stadium.
