Abu Dhabi: Al Wasl will host Qatar Club Monday night in the second leg of the final of the GCC Clubs Football Championship with high hopes of winning the regional title for the first time after drawing 2-2 in the first leg in Doha.

However, Al Wasl will miss the support of their fans after the GCC Football Organising Committee ruled the match would be played behind closed doors, following crowd trouble in the semi-final.

Head coach Alexandre Guimaeres said goalkeeper Majid Nasser would be missing because of injury.

Guimaeres chose to rest some of his stars against Al Ain last week in the UFL and is expected to pair Alexander Oliveira and Saeed Al Kass in attack with Elton, who scored both goals in Doha, and Khalid Darwish supporting.

Al Wasl will be wary of Qatar captain Sebastian Soria, who is arguably the club's best finisher. But Humaid Yousuf, the manager of the home team, was buoyant about his team's chances.

"I am confident that we will achieve a good result and win the title as I know the determination of our players having reached this level of the competition. We are only one small step away from winning the title. We will not squander this chance which might not come our way in years."

The match will start at 8.30pm.
