Al Ain face Al Jazira in Challenge Cup final

Abu Dhabi: Al Ain will face Al Jazira in the final of the UAE Football League (UFL) Challenge Cup on Sunday at Sharjah Stadium after the two finalists defeated Al Wahda and Al Dhafrah, respectively, in the semifinal round.

Al Ain defeated Al Wahda 3-2 late on Wednesday at Khalifa Stadium to win 5-4 in aggregate, while Al Jazira beat Al Dhafrah 2-1 for an aggregate of 5-1.

The Challenge Cup provides the chance for the second teams and reserve players to compete in the tournament that runs on the day after the professional league's seniors' matches are played.

Al Jazira finished second in the UFL which was won by Al Ahli, while Al Ain finished third.
