Dubai: AC Milan will face Al Ahli on January 2 in the inaugural Emirates Challenge Cup, to be played from 8pm at Al Ahli Club's Stadium.
The exhibition match is the highlight of AC Milan's winter-camp in Dubai, which commences from December 28. Training sessions will be open to the public to give fans a chance to get close to their idols like Robinho and Ronaldinho.
Cannavaro, Al Ahli's star summer-signing will also be clashing horns once more with his former Serie A rivals.
Ahmad Khalifa Hamad, CEO of Al Ahli Club said, "AC Milan versus AL Ahli is certainly an exciting prospect and we are so looking forward to welcoming some of the greatest names in football to Dubai later this month — the players at Al Ahli are all eager to get out there and take on AC Milan."
It's the third time AC Milan have been brought over to Dubai for winter training courtesy of Emirates Airline. On their last outing they played SV Hamburg at The Sevens Stadium. This will be the first time AC Milan has come to Dubai since a five-year shirt sponsorship deal with the airline. Details of ticket sales will be announced next week.
