Dubai: Legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar has made it a habit to visit Dubai unannounced — but he makes sure he tweets about it when he’s here.

The Master Blaster was in the UAE on Saturday and he posted on Twitter: “Hello Dubai. Here in your beautiful city..Follow me on this journey and my amazing experiences #AlwaysAMusafir.”

Tendulkar was also in Dubai in June and posed in front of the Address Hotel in the Marina with Shane Warne, before tweeting the picture. That visit was to meet International Cricket Council officials to discuss the exhibition matches the pair are planning to organise.

Being the brand ambassador of musafir.com, Tendulkar was here to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Sharjah-based travel website. Cricket fans who were at a function with the legend asked whether they would be able to see him in action again soon.

“We might surprise a few people in the time to come. Warne and I are planning to do something which people might be able to see. We might be turning out a bit with a bat in hand.”

Musafir.com’s agreement with brand ambassador Tendulkar covers a major global marketing campaign that includes print, radio, television and outdoor media, in which Tendulkar invites the world to “Stop dreaming. Start travelling.”

Last month Tendulkar’s brother Ajit was in Dubai to start an international-standard cricket academy in Ajman.
