Dubai: Twitter was abuzz with updates from the IPL opening ceremony on Tuesday night, as the worlds of Bollywood and cricket collided for a night of gltiz and glamour at Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace Hotel.
Shah Rukh Khan was the headline act and he was joined on stage by Deepika Padukone, as the UAE leg of cricket’s super bowl kicked off in style in the capital.
The captains of all 8 teams came together for the first time ahead of today’s opening match between Mumbai Indians and the Kolkata Knight Riders at Shaikh Zayed Stadium.
Chennai Super Kings and India captain MS Dhoni was as relaxed as ever as he took in the occasion.
