Dubai: Eight teams will take part in the seven-a-side cricket tournament to mark the 42nd National Day of the UAE on December 2. The event will be held at the Fair Oval Men’s College ground.
Announcing the tournament, Deepak Arora, Chairman of City Diamond LLC, and Freddy Sidhwa of Seven Seas hoped that the cricket festival will unite expats from various backgrounds and nationalities to celebrate the 42nd National Day of their ‘adopted’ home.
“This is the 25th consecutive year that the tournament is being hosted while the City Diamond and Seven Seas have been backing it for the 12th year in a row,” said Tariq Butt, the chief organiser.
“Aiko Mobile were the winners while Seven Seas emerged as the runners-up in the event last year,” said Butt. Interested teams can contact him on 050-6584161.
