Ajman: The Mulk Holding inter-school cricket tournament, organised by Ajman Cricket Council, had a nail-biting finish.

Delhi Private School (DPS), Sharjah, won the final after Indian High School virtually threw away the title by gifting the winning run through an overthrow off the last ball of the match.

Indian High School registered a challenging 135 for 6 in 20 overs through Rahul Chitwani's unbeaten 53. DPS chased down the total, losing six wickets. They needed two runs off the last ball. Ankur took a single off the last ball but IHS, hoping to run him out, threw the match away.

Sandeep Venkatraman's 44 and Pranav Rai's 38 went in vain.

Shaji-ul Mulk and Miraj Hussain of Ajman Cricket Council gave away the prizes.
