Dubai: OSN has exclusive telecast rights to stream live matches for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

OSN Sports Cricket HD and OSN Sports 1 HD are the channels where cricket fans can watch the live matches played in Australia and New Zealand from February 14 to March 29, 2015.

“The channels are also being streamed live on OSN Play, so that cricket fans can follow the games on multiple devices anytime and anywhere,” Hamad Malek, Chief Marketing Officer of OSN, told Gulf News.

With most matches taking place in the early morning, Malek said that OSN Play gives fans the flexibility to watch at their convenience.

OSN Pehla packages start from Dh108 per month and new subscribers can choose from a selection of packages.

“We have offers in place for new and renewing subscribers. Through OSN Pehla Prime or OSN Pehla Spice Plus, subscribers will be able to enjoy their desired channels completely free with a free HD DVR box. This offer will last until March 28, 2015,” he said.

Through this offer, subscribers will pay for 12 months and the 13 month is free, but one year is the minimum contract length.

Malek said existing customers can renew or change their subscription with ease and continue using their existing OSN box — all they need to do is contact them. New OSN subscribers will get a receiver depending on the package they choose.

Both of the UAE’s telecom operators — etisalat and du — are telecasting the live matches on their respective networks.

Du is showing OSN Sports 1 HD on channel 541 and OSN Sports Cricket HD on channel 562.

“The minimum commitment period is three months. If customers deactivate the package before the end of the commitment period, an early termination fee of Dh100 will apply,” a du spokesman said.

An etisalat spokesman told Gulf News the company will be issuing a press release next week with details of its coverage.
