Dubai: Lebanon's Champville team started their campaign on a rousing note with an 89-78 win against Jordan on the second day of the 2nd December International Basketball Tournament at Al Shabab Club.

The Jordanians, healthy 108-84 winners against minnows Team Philippines on the opening night on Thursday, simply could not match up to the Lebanese and their star player Fadhi Al Khatib, who led the scoring onslaught with 32 points.

Introduced midway through the first period, American Sam Hoskin scored 19 points to play the perfect foil, while Thompson Garnett chipped in with 11 points. For Jordan, Mohammad Hamdan top scored with 16 and Ayman Daees added a dozen.
