A record twenty-three teams will take part in the CBSE cluster basketball tournament to be held from November 6.
"This tournament is being organised by the New Indian Model School, Sharjah under the auspices of CBSE UAE sports committee," remarked G. Vijaykumar, the organiser of the event.
St. Joseph's School, Abu Dhabi is one among the 8 girls' teams taking part in this event.
Other girls' teams are Gulf Asian English School Sharjah, The Millennium School, Dubai, Our Own English High School, Sharjah, Emirates English Speaking School, Dubai, The Indian High School, Dubai, Sharjah Indian School and Our Own English High School, Dubai.
Fifteen boys' teams include the Indian School, Ras Al Khaimah, Indian Islahi School, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Juniors and Abu Dhabi Indian School.
The matches are scheduled to begin at 9:00a.m. at two venues.
Girls' matches will be held at the Sharjah Indian School and boys' matches at New Indian Model School, Sharjah.
The teams securing the first three positions from both the boys' and girls' tournaments will be eligible to take part in the Gulf Zonal tournament.
