Bollywood stars Rhea Chakraborty, Kareena Kapoor, Dia Mirza and more say goodbye to 2021

Actress Rhea Chakraborty looked back at her journey in 2021 and called it a year full of healing and pain. Chakraborty posted a picture on Instagram, where she smiles at the camera. She wrote alongside the image: “You see me smiling and laughing, it’s not been easy to get here. A year full of healing, a year full of pain. But here I am, smiling and looking at you 2021-because indeed what doesn’t break you makes you stronger..! Have a wonderful New Year’s Eve with your loved ones, may 2022 be kind to all of us. Love and light #rhenew.” In 2020, Chakraborty made headlines after she was accused by Sushant Singh Rajput’s family for abetment to suicide and also siphoning off funds from the late actor.

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan revealed the best part of 2021 in her latest tweet. The star, who is married to actor Saif Ali Khan, posted a picture of her younger son Jeh on Instagram. “His two teeth, the best part of 2021 #31est December #Mera Beta# Blessed New year all,” she wrote. Kapoor Khan recently recovered from COVID-19.

Actress and new mum Dia Mirza thanked the year for making her mother and revealed that she almost died. The star posted a video collage featuring moments from all the months. Alongside the clip, she wrote: “Thank you #2021 for making me a Mother. It was (a) year filled with incredible joy, a near death experience, the early birth of our son and some very testing times. But the lessons are well learnt and the gratitude runs deep. The biggest learning - the toughest times don’t last. Breathe. Witness. Surrender. And be grateful. Every single day.” Mirza’s little one was born prematurely on May 15 via an emergency C-Section and was in a neonatal ICU.

Actress Parineeti Chopra credits 2021 for bolstering her belief in picking subjects that are ahead of the curve. She told IANS: “It’s a year filled with gratitude for me. 2021 was the year I had been waiting for, having taken the biggest plunge of my career in the form of ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’, ‘The Girl on the Train’ and ‘Saina’ and thankfully, each one of them paid off.” Chopra added: “2021 made me realise that audiences expect me to be clutter-breaking and I couldn’t agree with them more; I am more thankful to them for showering me with all the love for my performances.”

Praying for a better tomorrow, actor Shilpa Shetty bid adieu to 2021. “Dear 2021, You were a mixed bag of emotions for all of us,” she wrote on Instagram. “There were smiles, tears, laughter, hugs, goodbyes, and a lot more. But, we sailed through. With a prayer for a better tomorrow, it’s time to bid adieu to you. We’re ready for you, 2022! Please be nice. Happy New Year’s Eve!” Shetty recently returned to work amid her husband Raj Kundra’s porn racket controversy.

Actor Kunal Kemmu began the last day of 2021 by hitting the gym. Taking to Instagram, he shared a picture of himself and wrote: “Worked out and worked out our way through 2021.. lot to be grateful for and lot to be thankful for. But I got my eyes on 2022 now. Here is wishing everyone a blessed year to come.”
