Dubai: Looking for activities to keep your kids engaged after school or during the weekend? From a treasure hunt to painting classed, here are six things to try with children this week and weekend in Dubai.

1. Treasure Hunt at the Pre-Owned Boat Show

Head to Dubai Marina for the Pre-Owned Boat Show, taking place from November 3 to 5 at Dubai Creek Resort. Families can enjoy a weekend filled with exciting activities for the little ones, and food and beverage offers.

Kids can embark on a fun-filled treasure hunt, equipped with eye patches, bandanas, hats, and a treasure map to seek hidden gems.

Date: November 3 to 5

Venue: Dubai Creek Marina, Dubai Creek Resort

Entry: Free admission

Timings: November 3 from 3 to 9pm and Saturday, and on November 4 and 5 from 2 to 9pm

2. Trampolines, ball pools and more at Leo&Loona

A new family-friendly attraction has opened up in Dubai’s Festival City Mall. Tailored exclusively to kids aged 10 and below, Leo&Loona features over 30 attractions, including soft play, trampolines, a ball pool, a soft pool with battle bridges, climbing walls, pedal go-karts, a magic sandbox, and more. Between Monday and Thursday, a two-hour pass is Dh129 for children, or a full-day pass is Dh199, while adults can enter the park for free any day. 3. After-school picnic at Global Village

The weather is perfect for some outdoor fun at Season 28 of Global Village. The open-air family destination opens at 4pm and is perfect for an after-school picnic on weekdays, to avoid the weekend rush. You will find more than 90 cultures showcasing their local products at 27 pavilions and over 175 rides, games, and plenty of food stalls across the venue. To get to Global Village, take Exit 37 on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.

4. Save the Mad Hatter at Alice in Puzzleland

Oh no! The Queen of Hearts thinks the Mad Hatter has stolen her tarts! She has cancelled the Hatter's tea party, there's no one around, and the clock is counting down to the moment the Hatter meets his fate... can you help him?

Alice in Puzzleland is a new escape room at The Escape Hunt at The Galleria Mall on Al Wasl Road.

The game is suitable for ages seven and above. Teams of two to five people have 60 minutes to complete the Alice in Wonderland-themed challenge by solving clues and challenges.

5. Paint & Grow Course at Couqley French Bistro & Bar

Couqley French Bistro & Bar’s 'Paint & Grow' course is back. Until November 26, children from the ages of six to 13 can explore their art talent under the guidance of an art instructor from Kidz Love Art.

The painting course will run at the restaurant from 2 to 4pm for five consecutive weeks. Parents can sign children up for the course for Dh1,550.

Throughout the five-week course, children will learn, and build confidence with colour theory, application of colour, composition, and layout skills with further development of their technical skills and vocabulary. Young artists will be encouraged to channel their inner creativity and their final masterpiece will be presented to parents on November 26.

Children participating in the painting course will receive all the necessary materials and tools for their artworks and build their personal portfolios. Throughout the course, snacks and drinks will also be provided to the children.

Course price: Dh1,550 for two-hour lessons over five days with all equipment provided

6. World largest Inflatable Bouncy Castle at Dubai Parks and Resorts

Record holder of the Guinness World Records title for the ‘Largest Inflatable Bouncy Castle’ in the world, JumpX has reopened.

The park includes an array of adventure zones, climbable walls, tunnels, and obstacles spread over multiple levels.

Special rates are available for annual pass holders and guests staying at Legoland Hotel and Lapita, Dubai Parks and Resorts, or dining at Riverland Dubai’s restaurants. Day visitors to Riverland Dubai can purchase tickets directly at JumpX, with prices starting from Dh60 per hour, or online.

JumpX is open from 4 to 8pm from Monday to Thursday, from 4 to 10pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 4 to 9pm on Sunday.

Guests must be a minimum of 1.1m tall and weigh less than 88kgs.
