Learning is a gift that keeps giving

We are all born with the ability of learning, and can learn anytime and anywhere. Learning is divided into two types — unofficial and official. The unofficial type of learning includes the life skills that we learn from our surroundings, while the official type of learning is the education that we receive at school and university. In my opinion, education is the magic stick that allows us to achieve the things that we want in our lives.

Although we acquire our official education in schools and universities, it doesn’t always guarantee success. To reap the benefits of an education, we have to love learning and be passionate about our chosen major. We need to enjoy our major so that we have an idea about what we want to do with our lives in the future. Education will only help us if we have set goals and plan in order to achieve them. If we do so, the path will be secure and easy. We should also clarify what we wish to achieve after selecting a specific type of educational program. For example, what does one want to achieve by majoring in media? Does he or she want to be a famous television presenter or director? If so, there is a lot of hard work involved to reach that point through education.

Education gives us the tools of professionalism that we can use to improve ourselves and to master our chosen professional fields. Although I agree that there are successful people in the world who have not completed their education, I think that education helps guide us and makes us more organized in our work. In my opinion, education should not be something that parents force on children because it is more important for children to be passionate about what they are learning.
