If guilty, the Gandhis must be punished!

What India needs is development and job creating, not more corruption

The corruption case against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, President and Vice President of the Indian National Congress could be an open and shut case!

The Congress Party, which has ruled the country since independence, is now in a very bad shape and undergoing a lot of political turmoil. This certainly could be due to the internal disturbances within the party, including various scandals and scams — one after the other.

The truth is that the vast majority of Indians are truly fed up with the rampant corruption that has stifled the growth of a two-trillion-dollar economy. What the nation needs is development and more job creation and in order to achieve that, the government and its politicians need to be transparent and straightforward. Instead, the party that collected millions from the public, and are not subjected to tax, created their own wealth by making a mockery of law through misusing their constitutional powers. The priceless real estates in New Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Patna, Bhopal, Hariyana and Indore are vested with two politicians who have never even been in the government!

The delivery of justice under the Indian Judicial System can take a very long time, and with the clout that these individuals have even today, can make the wait worthless. The court should initiate an independent committee consisting of legal experts, who can interpret corporate laws and taxation laws and if there has been any contravention of the laws, the guilty have to be punished. However, if it is found that what has happened is within the ambit of the Indian Legal System, they should be absolved. However, what is legal may not be totally moral, but if there is no violation, then no one should be punished.

Did the father of our nation — Mahatma Gandhi foresee all this and then suggest the dissolution of the Congress Party after independence?
