We need more leaders like Gandhi
Mahatma Gandhi rightly said that one of the roots of violence is “politics without principles”. The day a person ignores his or her principles, politics has lost its meaning. Talking about Gandhi, he obliged as a source of guidance for those who hoped for fundamental and social change in society. He not only encouraged to substantiate action, but stimulated how peacefully it can be worked out. To me, politics is about developing the dignity of the countrymen and helping them lead a life with morality.
Politics should ultimately revolve around equality, freedom, and peace. The public requires a leader with a true vision of the future, a sense of developing the moral excellence and righteousness of citizens and making them capable of living a dignified life. If you find that, you see the shadow of a creative politician who is willing to strike a balance, transform, comply, and fine-tune his blueprint. Let the leader’s vision enrich with substantial innovation of people’s development.
The Greek philosopher Aristotle shared some interesting links of ethics and politics. He was of the opinion that the ethical and virtuous life is only available to someone who participates in politics. With that in mind, the public should actively participate and share their views in connection with politics. The principles of social equality and respect for the individual within a community will develop if we generate a trend of “creativity” in public affairs. It is not only to gain job-oriented skills but should primarily be to equip students with the skill of interaction. The activity of exchanging information and operating towards amicable resolutions, regardless of the subject of conversation should be the underlying goal that should be a part of the curriculum in every educational institution.
You can only discover creative transformation and it is only those who initiate change that will progress to learn to manage the change. Creativity wraps cracking the conventional or traditional practice in order to scan things distinctively. Let this concept become a habit and be imprinted in all minds. If we all follow the same concept, I am sure that we will come across an ideology of national revival, retribution and productivity by a creative politician.
