Philippine Social Security System opens office in Dubai

Dubai office is seventh in the Middle East

Dubai: The Philippine Social Security System (SSS) has opened its new office in Dubai at the Philippine Overseas Labour Office (Polo) in Al Ghusais.

Filipinos under 60 years of age and working in private corporations, including those employed overseas, are required by law to become SSS members to have “protection in case of disability, sickness, maternity, old age, death and other contingencies resulting in loss of income or financial burden.”

SSS President and CEO Emilio de Quiros Jr presided over the opening of the new office along with the officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Consulate General in Dubai, and Polo Dubai.

The Middle East hosts SSS offices in Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Kuwait, Doha, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
