Ajman: An 18-year-old Yemeni girl was found hanging in the bathroom of her family’s house in Al Rowdha area in Ajman.
Police received a call from the victim’s family on Saturday around 5pm, saying their daughter was found hanging in the house.
Major General Shaikh Sultan Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, said that the victim was found hanging in the bathroom of her family house and beside her there was a book titled An Unquiet Mind.
Paramedics and a team from the CID moved to the scene of the incident, and the body was transferred to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy.
The police are investigation the case to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and to rule out any foul play.
He stated that the existence of this book near the body doesn’t mean it is the main cause of suicide, it might be a factor .
Major General Al Nuaimi urged parent to observe their children closely and what they are reading or what they are watching on the network especially during adolescence and protect them from various dangers.
He pointed out that there are books and websites that may affect their children and infect them with depressed especially for youth during adolescence as they start their experience in life.
