Dubai: The situation in Kerala is grave. Many people have been affected by the ongoing floods, which have resulted in a loss of life and property. People are stranded and rescue operations are underway.
Individuals from all around the world are making donations and helping those caught in the floods. Another person hoping to help is husband of late Kerala nurse, Lini Puthussery, who died after catching the Nipah virus.
According to a report by newspaper India Times, “Sajeesh, who had recently joined as a lower divisional clerk has donated his first salary to Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMRDF).”
He met the Kerala Minister for Labour and Excise, TP Ramakrishnan and gave him his contribution.
This news was received well on social media platforms in India and many people praised him for his “kind act”.
Indian journalist @ArunodayM called the family “Real heroes!”
Another journalist called the news “inspiring”, while tweep @subbusurya called it a “Truly selfless gesture!”
The floods have claimed more than 300 lives till now. There is a shortage of food and safe drinking water, and people are struggling to find a safe spot.
