No more embassy or consulate visits to apply for visas with the new online system
Dubai: Planning a trip to Thailand next year? Securing your visa is about to become much easier. Starting January 1, 2025, Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs will introduce a globally accessible electronic visa (eVisa) system, allowing visitors from all over the world to complete the application process entirely online.
Although the eVisa system has previously been available in select locations, this global rollout will extend its reach, enabling applicants worldwide to access a streamlined process. The system will be active across all 94 Royal Thai Embassies and Consulates General, enhancing accessibility for more nationalities and minimising paperwork.
From January 1, 2025, tourists can apply for their Thai eVisa via the official online visa portal: www.thaievisa.go.th.
