The UAE offers a wide range of helplines to address various needs, from emergency services to mental health support and consumer complaints. Here is a comprehensive guide to the most important support numbers and services you should know:

Emergency Numbers

For immediate assistance anywhere in the UAE, dial:

  • 999: Police

  • 998: Ambulance

  • 997: Fire Department (Civil Defence)

  • 996: Coastguard

  • 995: Search and Rescue

  • 991: Electricity failure

Dubai Police Non-Emergency Hotline

901: For non-emergency matters like paying traffic fines, inquiries about home security, feedback or suggestions, and tourist assistance. The hotline also supports services like night work permits and traffic clearance certificates.

Power and Water Supply Failures

  • Abu Dhabi: 800 2332 (Abu Dhabi Distribution Company - ADDC)

  • Dubai: 991 (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority - DEWA)

  • Sharjah: 991 (Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority - SEWA)

  • Najeed (Sharjah): 800 151 (for fraud, harassment, financial blackmail, and other cases)
