How and where to buy the limited-edition coins honoring the nation’s founders
Dubai: The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has issued limited-edition commemorative coins in gold and silver to mark the legacy of the country’s founding leaders.
Released under the 'Zayed and Rashid' campaign, these coins honour the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, recognising their vital roles in establishing the Union and shaping the UAE's national identity.
There are two versions of the commemorative coin:

Silver Coin

For many, buying commemorative coins goes beyond collecting. These special-edition coins serve as a meaningful tribute to the UAE’s history, especially when they honour iconic leaders like Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid.
Some buyers see them as a long-term investment since limited-edition coins made of precious metals like gold and silver may become more valuable over time.
Others are drawn to the craftsmanship and design; these coins are carefully produced, with detailed artwork that makes them stand out as display pieces.
There’s also a sense of pride and prestige in owning something officially issued by the UAE Central Bank whether as a personal keepsake or a gift.
