Dubai: Sharjah's iconic landmarks will once again be illuminated with captivating light displays as the Sharjah Light Festival returns for its 14th edition. Launched on February 5, the festival carries the theme ‘Lights Unite Us’. Visitors can enjoy these vibrant light installations at 12 locations across the emirate.

Founded in 2010, the Sharjah Light Festival (SLF) has become an integral part of the emirate’s cultural identity and heritage. Each year, the event attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors who come to witness the stunning light shows, complemented by specially composed music, artistic creations, and the technical mastery of illuminations projected onto Sharjah’s landmarks.

Dates and timings: The festival runs until February 16, with light shows taking place from Sunday to Wednesday, 9pm to 11pm, and Thursday to Saturday, 6pm to 12am. The shows pause during the Maghrib and Isha’a prayers.

The Lights Village: Alongside the light installations, the festival also features the Light Village, open until February 23. This vibrant, interactive hub includes various participating pavilions, such as the Museum of Lights. Visitors can enjoy a range of events, interactive activities, and family-friendly games. This year's Lights Village also highlights over 70 local projects, showcasing small and medium-sized national enterprises catering to diverse interests.

Entry to the Lights Village is Dh10, and it is open from Sunday to Wednesday, 5pm to 12am, and Thursday to Saturday, 5pm to 1am. Admission is free for children under 11, senior citizens, and people of determination.
