For Umrah, the app guides users through the visa application process and enables them to book available time slots for their Umrah permit.
According to the Nusuk website, pilgrims must secure an Umrah permit before arriving at the Grand Mosque in Mecca. The platform advises booking during less crowded periods to help pilgrims complete Umrah with ease and reverence.
The Nusuk app is available on Apple, Android and Huawei devices. To apply for an Umrah permit, you need to create an account and follow these steps:
If you are an international visitor, select the ‘Visitor’ account option and enter the following details:
Visa number (as shown on your Saudi eVisa or Umrah visa)
Passport number
Date of birth
Nationality
Mobile number
Email address
Once you have provided the necessary information, create a password, agree to the terms and conditions, and tap ‘Register’.
You will then receive a One-Time Password (OTP) via SMS. Enter the OTP to verify your account.
1. Once registered, select ‘Issue Umrah Permit’ from the services menu.
2. Choose your account and add any companions if needed.
3. Select your preferred date and time for Umrah.
The app displays a calendar where you can book a slot up to two months in advance, with the option to view dates in either the Gregorian or Hijri calendar.
Green slots indicate less crowded periods.
Red slots signify peak times with heavier crowds.
4. After selecting your time slot, tap ‘Continue’. A confirmation screen will display your booking details, including:
Permit and reservation number
QR Code of the permit
Date and time slot of your booking
