Madonna to perform Gaga song

The queen has landed. And if sneaky recordings of her first rehearsals are to be believed, Madonna has a Lady Gaga song on her set list.

The singer, all set to perform her first concert of the MDNA Tour in Tel Aviv this Thursday, will perform a mash-up of her song Express Yourself with Gaga’s major hit Born This Way.

From the sketchy recordings doing the rounds of fan sites, it appears Madonna is taking a swipe at Gaga, launching into her song ‘She’s Not Me’ from her 2008 album Hard Candy, as part of the mash-up.

Gaga has been accused by many of copying Express Yourself. When Madonna was asked recently about the similarities of the two tracks, she said it was flattering.

“When I heard it on the radio, I said 'that sounds very familiar'," Madonna said in an interview with ABC. “It feels reductive.”

While the rest of the recordings feature many songs from her new album, MDNA, Madonna is set to perform a few of her old classics, including Papa Don’t Preach.

The singer takes the stage in Abu Dhabi’s du Arena on June 3 and 4. Tickets to the second night are still available on thinkflash.ae
