Mixing prints is a huge trend, and is virtually impossible to get wrong in a monochrome palette. Stick with similar sized patterns for the sharpest look.

Spots, stripes and checks are classics, but monochrome florals, photoprints and
digital patterns look super-fresh and modern.

Avoid looking like a waitress by not choosing a plain white shirt and black bottom half, and accessorise with tonal pieces to add edge to a basic look.
