Sole DXB 2016 details announced
The street culture festival takes place in November
Sole DXB, a two-day street culture festival, returns to Dubai Design District (d3) on November 18-19 for its fifth edition. The theme will be City of Gold, a nod to Dubai’s gold souqs, shopping bazaars and distinct style history.
Sole DXB started last year as a festival focused on sneakers. adidas Originals, PUMA Select, Level Shoes, New Balance and Nike will have a presence this year.
Level Shoes will showcase limited-edition designer sneaker collections and a Maison Margiela Paris retrospective.
A store dubbed Early Retirement will showcase brands otherwise unavailable in the region, as well as an exclusive collaboration, PUMA Clyde x Sole ‘SWAG’.
Swap & Sale will offer people to source footwear from a few hand-picked global collectors.
A winner-takes-all basketball tournament will also take place, made up of 11 teams from the region; further details have not been announced.
