Expat stays home

Senator Jinggoy Estrada was a no show at the Middle East premiere of his film Katas Ng Saudi. While the actor-politician was eager to attend, the Kuwaiti Embassy in Manila didn't issue him a visa.

Estrada, the son of the former president of the Philippines, has travelled to the Middle East in the past. His co-star Lorna Tolentino attended the screenings in Dubai and Kuwait.

The film has received good reviews and is a truthful account of an expat Filipino's life once they return home. It is scheduled for release on video soon.
