The traffic situation in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), Dubai, has turned from bad to worse. This issue has been going on for the past three years. Entry into and exit from JLT is extremely difficult. It takes over half an hour to get out of the traffic snarl. It is a nightmare for the residents of JLT. People are discouraged from buying or renting a property in this area due to this problem. The traffic has been so bad lately that those who have to enter the area call up their friends or family in advance to inquire about the traffic situation.
Every time complaints have been made to the authorities, they have informed the residents that the construction work will take a few more months. But years have passed and there seems to be no respite. The traffic situation, now that the summer vacations have passed, has deteriorated a great deal. I request the concerned authorities to complete the road projects at the earliest so that this nightmare can come to an end soon.
