Where do motorbikes park?

Motorcycle owners are forced to park in spots allocated for cars

I have often seen motorcycles parked in such a way that they block the entire parking spot and sometimes even two. As you can see in the picture, owners of the two motorbikes have parked them on lines on both sides of the parking space, blocking a spot that could be used by a vehicle.

When the bike is parked, it occupies at least half a metre of the space in width because of the metal guards on the sides.

I have also noticed that motorcyclists sometimes ride or park their bikes carelessly and scratch other vehicles. I feel some do it intentionally as they struggle to ride in between two vehicles.

But at the same time, there are no separate parking spots for bikes, leaving the motorcyclists with no option.

I think there should be allotted parking spots for bikes in car parks and they should be charged by the hour, just like motorists. This would reduce incorrect parking of bikes and bike-owners would be more careful when parking.

I request the authorities to kindly look into this matter and do the needful.
