These hedges are dying due to lack of water
Drip irrigation in many parts along Al Muteena Street is going waste and the bushes along the road need urgent attention from municipal authorities
The hedges along the entire stretch of Al Muteena Street in Deira, Dubai, are drying up due to lack of water. They are an eyesore and show the irresponsible behaviour of the people who are supposed to care for them. The lack of water is due to the drip irrigation system being faulty. I have complained to Dubai Municipality over the phone in the past and a part of the work was done. However, now, instead of supplying water to the hedges and trees along the road, the drip irrigation is flooding the streets. The authorities need to fix the issue once and for all and make sure that all the greenery is taken care of properly.
