Materials are not properly secured

Many people transport their load without ensuring it is securely fitted to the truck or car, posing a risk to other drivers

My concern is based on the unsafe practice of transporting materials in trucks and other vehicles. I have noticed several instances where the load is not secured tightly enough and it poses a huge risk for other motorists.

In such cases, it may cause intensive damage to property, can result in an accident and may even cause the loss of human lives.

The photographs I took are ample proof of the dangers such practices pose on the roads. On one occasion, I saw negligence in the transportation of aluminium rods, which were swinging dangerously out of a pick-up truck, while the vehicle was in motion. Other vehicles passing in the adjacent lane had to judge the direction in which the rod would swing and [move away].

In another instance, just two ropes were used to secure an entire load in a pick-up truck. The load was not secured tightly enough and it resulted in the shifting of the bags whenever the driver slammed the brakes.

When we told the driver that this was dangerous, instead of being thankful, he was arrogant and verbally abusive.

How can people be so careless and irresponsible? How can they do something that endangers others' lives and property? These people should be penalised heavily and also be brought to book.
