Reader calls for more rubbish bins around ticket machines
Back in September 2010, I wrote a community report about a Nol card recharge machine near World Trade Centre in Dubai, which was not working.
After about three months, the machine is finally operational. So thank you Gulf News and Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for noticing and helping repair the Nol card machine.
A lot of commuters have been using it. But there is usually no provision of dust bins for disposing receipts and other waste near such recharge points.
This means the receipts are usually scattered on the ground, adding to the litter.
I urge the authorities to look into this matter too.
