A few days ago, I was walking down to Oud Metha Metro Station, when I happened to notice something unusual on a pole at the bus stop. It looked like an extra fitting design to me from far.
As I approached the pole, I was in shock to see that they were empty cups stacked neatly into the pole.
In a developed city like Dubai and that too at a busy bus stop next to a Metro station, I found the pole littered. Imagine the state of a tourist who happens to see this sight. It’s enough to get a wrong idea of the city’s cleanliness and hygiene.
I can’t even imagine why people have such low civic sense. It’s the duty and responsiblity of every resident to keep the surroundings clean. People might do it for fun, but remember littering your locality is just the same as littering your own home.
I request people not to engage in any such activities which results in littering and spoiling the city’s image.
I hope the authorities will look into this issue very soon.
