Give a home to an abandoned cat

My neighbour and I recently discovered a badly injured cat in our garden. He had been attacked and his face was scratched, swollen and bleeding. We wanted to help, but didn’t know what to do as he was extremely frightened of us.

My neighbour suggested we call Feline Friends Dubai for advice. They were really helpful and said they could send someone to help us trap the cat and get him to a vet for treatment.

Calling them made me realise that there must be hundreds or even thousands of stray cats that are either injured or abandoned and don’t have anyone to look after them. My own cat comes from a rescue centre in the UK, so I’m a big advocate of adoption.

The next adoption event is tomorrow, August 17, at The Veterinary Hospital, Al Quoz from 1-4pm. Adopting or even fostering a cat is a fantastic and rewarding experience and I couldn’t recommend it enough.
