Drive safe, keep a clear view

Gulf News reader Arushi Madan highlighted the dangers of driving with limited vision, with this photograph. She said: “While in Al Ghusais, I saw a pick-up truck loaded with goods, which were blocking his vision when he looked into the rear view mirror. There was no way that the driver could clearly see cars behind him, or vehicles that were about to overtake him. Such practices are dangerous for himself and others around him. Through the Community Reports section, I would like to draw the attention of motorists to this issue and would like to request them to follow safe driving practices so as not to jeopardise lives.” Loading a heavy vehicle in a way that may pose danger to others or to the road, can result in a fine of Dh500 and six black points, according to the Dubai Police website.
