Reader says damaged barriers at Dubai Creek could be accident waiting to happen

Young children have a limited perception of risk in their environment and whilst trying to be independent, lack some balance and co-ordination skills that older people have.
Therefore, they can easily find themselves in dangerous situations, especially when a protective barrier contains gaps or openings large enough for a child to be able to pass through.
Parents should always take precautionary measures to help keep children safe and are also responsible for keeping their children under their control. But, is playing not a regular part of any child's life?
At the Dubai Creek people come with their families to relax and have fun, but this could easily translate into a tragedy due to such damaged barriers.
The barrier seen in the photographs I clicked, has been damaged to a degree that makes it potentially dangerous to users.
It is a stone's throw away from the Dubai Municipality's office and adjacent to a water taxi station. The authorities need to look into the matter and get the barrier mended as soon as possible.
