I would like to bring to notice an issue related to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) bus shelter and Nol card vending machine in Dubai Airport Free Zone.
I joined a company in the Dubai Airport Free Zone at the start of 2010 and had to travel by bus but the Nol card recharge machine next to the bus shelter was inoperable at the time.
I lodged a couple of complaints about this, but no action was taken.
About three months later I purchased a vehicle and stopped using the bus. However, last week I had to take my car to the garage and took the bus.
To my surprise I found the Nol card vending machine at the bus stop still in a state of disrepair.
Also, the ‘air conditioned' bus shelter was not working.
I request the concerned authorities to take action at the earliest as it is very difficult for people to wait in the scorching sun.
