A bus stop shelter in Electra Street, Abu Dhabi, is undergoing a strange
transformation according to Gulf News reader P. C. Omar. He said: “[Such] bus
shelters are being used as notice boards for posters about accommodation and
shared apartments. I have also noticed these kinds of advertisements pasted onto
streetlight poles and public telephone booths. [It] diminishes the beauty of the city.
Action should be taken against the uncultured people who do this. I request the
authorities to also remove the posters from such areas and penalise the violators.”
