Build a shelter at this bus stop
Authorities must erect a structure at this location in a busy area where passengers have to wait in the scorching heat
Gulf News reader Ekta B. wanted to highlight the need for shaded bus stops. She said: ‘I regularly travel on public buses from the stop near the shopping mall on Khalid Bin Waleed Street in Dubai. I would like to bring the authorities’ attention to this bus stop because even in the scorching heat, the area has no shade, seating area, or shelter. It is also in a prime location. During the morning and afternoon rush hours there are about 10 people waiting. It is very difficult to wait at the bus stop until the bus arrives. I hope the authorities will construct a proper bus shelter at this location.’
