Abandoned Saluki fighting to save her leg and find forever home

Young Marley, who is a Saluki cross, was found in a deserted area. She was lying on the floor, unable to move, underweight and dehydrated.

Later on, the person who rescued her saw blood and bite wounds on her leg.

She was taken home and went through a course of antibiotics to prevent infection. She was unable to use her back leg and after a few days the affected area became massively swollen, and spread.

Marley became pale, weak and was in a lot of pain.

Her rescuer rushed her to a veterinary clinic without hesitation and an X-ray revealed a clear fracture on her femur and it was found she had a huge drop in her red blood cell count as she suffered from massive internal bleeding.

She is schedule for surgery in a few days and there is a chance that her leg might need to be amputated, depending on how bad the soft tissue damage is.

We are all hoping that her leg can be stabilised using metal pins.

A few weeks after her surgery Marley will be up for adoption and she will need a serious family to provide her with a good home.

She has gone through a very painful experience and deserves a second chance.

She is very placid, gentle and is very kind.

We are asking people to help by making her treatment possible.

If you are willing to help with her expenses or would like to offer her a forever home, please contact Friends of Animals on 050-7706711 or emails us an info@friendsofanimalsdxb.com.
