We all have our personal lists - of the zaniest/quirkiest/
funniest/craziest/smartest ... We devote this page to them.
This week, Mollyn Muringayi is a hairstylist at Sasha Salon, Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai, lists ...
Write little reminders for yourself: If you have the memory of the proverbial goldfish or are too busy, write a to-do list on a Post-It note and stick it in a prominent place such as on your alarm clock, doorknob, hairdryer, mirror or fridge to avoid forgetting those important appointments and items on the shopping list.
Clean your comb: Use the sticky edge to clean between the teeth of your comb and keys of your computer keyboard.
Use it as a page marker: Mark cool hairstyles as you browse through a magazine or album. This not only leaves your hands free but makes repeat access easier and enables you to easily compare different styles. You can also use it to mark important passages in a book or document without damaging it.
Use it as a quick key guide: Write keyboard shortcuts and stick the note on your computer.
Get creative: Write inspiring, uplifting quotes, jokes or get creative and draw cartoons on them and plaster it all over your work area. It will lift your spirits on a bad day and bring a smile to your client's face.
Use it to jot down your thoughts: It's handy if you want to jot down important points in a meeting or ideas that suddenly flood your mind while you're in the middle of something. Some people think faster than they can type so scribbling on a Post-It and transferring to a computer later helps.
Leave a note for someone: It is ideal because it sticks well on different surfaces - wood, glass, plastic, metal - and you can easily remove it without leaving any residue or scratching the surface.
Jot down emergency numbers: Write important numbers - family doctor, police, fire department etc - and stick a note in every room in the house and on the table next to the phone for easy access by your kids and maid in case of an emergency.
Label food: You can use it to label folders or to pencil use-by dates of food stored in zip lock bags.
Get artistic: Do some Post-It origami art with your kids. They'll really love it.
