Folk rockers Mumford & Sons thrilled a crowd of 25,000 concert-goers on Saturday night as they took to the stage at the Yasalam 2017 After-Race Concerts, on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Belting out a collection of songs from their highly acclaimed studio albums Babel, Sigh No More, and most recent addition, Wilder Mind, the four-piece UK band gave fans a captivating live performance littered with the killer hooks and banjo choruses the foursome are famed for.

Opening to a chorus of cheers from a packed-out du Arena, Mumford & Sons sang Little Lion Man and surprised early on by raining down confetti and standing on the speakers to see the Abu Dhabi crowd sing back to them for the first time. The audience then lit up the sky with their phones, as the quartet moved the crowd with their hit Believe, before confetti rained down again for The Cave. Frontman Marcus Mumford even ran out into the Golden Circle to serenade fans.

Ahead of the performance, DJ Darryl Rees took to the stage with a range of remixed crowd favourites as the opener and raised the energy of the du Arena.

Mumford & Sons took to the stage as the third night of a four-act line-up for the Yasalam After-Race Concerts. DJ Calvin Harris performed on Thursday and hip hop artist was the headliner on Friday.

Pink takes the stage for the closing night on Sunday. Known for her signature on-stage energy and aerial stunts, paired with her stripped back vocal performance, Pink has been on a promotional spree worldwide for her latest and seventh album Beautiful Trauma, which released in October.

After-race concerts are accessible to race ticket holders only. For more, go to yasalam.ae.
