Much to the delight of K-Pop fans, it has been officially announced that KCON, an annual Korean Pop festival, will be extended for the first time to Thailand — and in Southeast Asia — next month.
Kcon 2018 Thailand is set to take place on September 29 and 30 at the IMPACT Arena, Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok. K-Pop boy bands Got7, Pentagon, Golden Child as well as rookie girl group (G)-I DLE are the first acts to perform at the Korean pop music and cultural convention. The next lineup pf K-pop stars is expected to be revealed soon.
Kcon launched in the US in 2012 and has expanded into other countries, such as Japan, Mexico, Australia, United Arab Emirates and France. The event has drawn a total of 687,000 attendees.
